The late, great Pat McGovern, founder of IDG - and Godfather of the modern b-to-b media + conference + research "platform" business model - understood that there is a direct correlation between editorial credibility, marketplace influence, and the successful development and growth of a core brand franchise. Each component of the broader platform served as a flywheel for the business and IDG flourished for decades. While b-to-b events and industry and marketing best practices have evolved since the mid-60s, the fundamental, multi-platform "flywheel" model - and core best practices - remain the same. I have always considered myself an editor and curator at heart as strong conference programs are, in effect, well-curated editorial. The session title is the article headline, the sub-title is the sub-headline, the conversation is the body of the article and the speakers provide the credibility quotes and attribution. In 2018, I leveraged my passion for editorial and fifteen years as a programming curator to launch dxdaily.com - a destination for digital business transformation news, insights, market movers, and event listings.

Below includes examples of my editorial product development experience as a designer, writer, editor, conference programmer and industry marketer.

In 2019, I conceptualized, launched, and serve as the Editor of, and contributor to, dxdaily.com - a destination site and companion newsletter featuring proprietary and curated content and news focused on digital business transformation and innovation. The dxdaily.com platform includes proprietary articles, video interviews and curated innovation news and executive moves, CDX conference content and highlights, CDX event promotion, custom content, and premium advertising for our partners.

The keynote is the conference headline and sets the tone and reputation for any event. I have programmed 200+ keynotes featuring a diverse mix of innovators including former WPP CEO Martin Sorrell, The Honorable Gavin Newsom, Governor of California, investor Mark Cuban, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, Alibaba CEO Jack Ma, Public Enemy frontman Chuck D, author and media veteran Arianna Huffington, author Malcolm Gladwell, Gus Hunt, former CTO of the CIA, analyst Mary Meeker, and dozens of agency and brand-side chief digital officers, chef innovation officers, CMOs, CTOs and other senior and C-Suite executives, authors, and thought leaders.

Since 2005, I have directly programmed over 3,000 plenary and breakout sessions at 150+ conferences across four continents. My programming philosophy is anchored by a belief that every session must be great while insuring a contextual and seamless "flow" that delivers a clear narrative, value proposition and educational and actionable advice, inspiration, and insights to all attendees. From large-room, main-stage plenary sessions to small, intimate breakouts - and everything in between - my goal is never to have a weak link in the agenda. Every session must be first-rate and the program, as a whole, must progressively elevate the event brand's credibility over time and directly lead to increased ticket sales and sponsorship sales.

Every brand is a publisher and custom content solutions are part of any major media company's strategic offering. As a research analyst at Jupiter Communications and Lazard, I have conducted qualitative and quantitative research and written and contributed to the publication of dozens of research reports on the digital business economy. I have also worked with dozens of clients to design, create, and monetize compelling custom content and research whether its for editorial distribution or as part of a media + event integrated thought leadership offering.
