A NETWORK OF ECOSYSTEMS

The digital business transformation economy is anchored by core buyer-seller ecosystems supported by an array of satellite partners including third party channel and infrastructure firms, media/press/influencers, industry and trade associations, open innovation hubs, research firms and academia that help shape the broader marketplace. Over the last three decades, I have forged - and continue to nurture - relationships with organizations and executives from across a diverse network of digital business ecosystems.

THE CORE: BUYERS & SELLERS

Market economies are, at their core, dynamic buyer-seller ecosystems. The clients / buy-side are the honey and the vendors / sell-side - and key channel and infrastructure partners - pay the bills. Events, editorial products, and b-to-b industry marketing programs must effectively reach and engage a critical mass of qualified, buy-side executives and deliver a clear ROI and unique value proposition to clients, advertisers, readers and sponsors. I have featured hundreds of buy-side speakers at over 150 conferences globally - and on dxdaily.com - which has fueled sell-side monetization from an equally robust network of supporting partners.

 DIGITAL BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION

I have spent my entire career working for, and across, an array of digital business transformation and marketing technology ecosystems and firms. From digital strategy and C-Suite roles at leading global agencies such as BBDO and AKQA to digital services research roles at Jupiter Communications and Lazard Fréres to managing the largest global digital media and marketing technology trade show, ad:tech to creating a boutique, digital transformation salon series, CDX, I have spent my entire career working for, and collaborating with firms from across the digital business transformation and marketing technology ecosystems.

ASSOCIATIONS & TRADE GROUPS

There are trade groups and associations for every industry and multiple sub-segment groups within larger market ecosystems. The digital business transformation ecosystem has dozens of large, and niche, trade associations, working groups, and public-private open innovation hubs within its broader business ecosystem. I have enjoyed, and continue to work at, establishing, building and nurturing relationships with this influential segment of the ecosystem.

MEDIA & PR

PR, media, and influencer ecosystems are key pillars and of any industry marketplace. Featuring reporters and editors from national, first-tier and leading niche media outlets brings credibility to event programs and forming partnerships with these outlets and influencers helps drive industry credibility, awareness and attendance. I continue to proactively engage with the broader media and PR ecosystem which includes editors, reporters, publishers, client-side corporate communications professionals (the executive "gatekeepers"), external PR agencies, industry influencers and independent speaker reps.

RESEARCH & ACADEMIA

The research community and academia are important communities within the digital business transformation ecosystem. Research analysts and academics bring credibility to events, editorial, and b-to-b marketing programs and can be valuable custom research partners. in regards to custom research. I have featured, and collaborated with, leading analysts from firms such as Forrester, Gartner, IDC, eMarketer, Cowen, RBC Capital Markets, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deustche Bank, Evercore ISI, and others as well as distinguished academics from Stanford University, Harvard College, The New School, Columbia Business School, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley, Singularity University, NYU and more.

OPEN INNOVATION

Global enterprises and organizations have embraced open innovation. Metropolitan areas such as Silicon Valley, New York City and Boston have always been multi-lateral open innovation hubs that bring together vibrant start-up ecosystems, investors, enterprises, academia, public sector research and development, and other constituencies. More recently, we have seen open innovation hubs blossom in Seattle, Chicago, Tel Aviv, Atlanta, Miami, London, Houston, Singapore and elsewhere. I have developed and continue to forge relationships with key stakeholders across a wide range of open innovation ecosystems and hubs in the United States and abroad.
